Port Elizabeth, Port Louis, Reunion, Langkawi, Singapore.
Itinerary
Meet the tourleader at the Malta International
Airport to check-in on Emirates flight
departing at 14:55hrs to Capetown via Dubai
(with a technical stop in Larnaca).
Arrival at 11:40hrs at Cape Town Airport and
transfer to the port, where you embark on the
beautiful Mein Schiff 6. The afternoon is free
for leisure. Explore the ship and enjoy the allinclusive arrangement which has made the
Mein Schiff cruises so popular.
Enjoy a full day in Cape Town. Why not take
an optional city tour of Cape Town to see the
famed Table mountains, the penguins, V&A
Waterfront and then take a harbour cruise to
see the seals. Be back on the ship at latest
2000hrs for the obligatory safety drill after
which the ship will sail out of Cape Town at
2200 hrs. From the top deck you can enjoy
spectacular views of Cape Town.
Enjoy breakfast at leisure and then experience
a myriad of activities. There is never a dull
moment onboard this beautiful liner as
she offers you the best in comprehensive
facilities, entertainment, recreation activities
coupled with informality and flexibility for the
discerning modern holiday-maker.
Arrival in Port Elizabeth, a beautiful town in
southern South Africa. We recommend a visit
to the nearby Addo Elephant National Park,
the third-largest national par in South Africa.
It is not only home to the traditional Big Five
(Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopards,Buffalo), but the Big 7, which includes the Southern right
whale and Great white shark in its marine
environment. Situated a mere 30 minutes
drive from Port Elizabeth, the Park is perfectly
situated to show off all its natural wonders
with all who wish to visit – from the small
flightless dung beetles to the hundreds of
grey mammoths, the Park was formed to
protect and so much more in between!
4 wonderful days at sea to relax and pamper
yourself
Today, you arrive at Port Louis the capital
city of Mauritius. We suggest you to take an
optional full day island tour. Mauritius, which
has a population of approx. 1.2 million is an
Indian Ocean island nation, known for its
beaches, lagoons and reefs. The mountainous
interior includes Black River Gorges National
Park, with rainforests, waterfalls, hiking trails
and wildlife like the flying fox. Capital Port
Louis has sites such as the Champs de Mars
horse track, Eureka plantation house and
18th-century Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam
Botanical Gardens.
Today, weather permitting, you stop at
Le Port in Reunion, a beautiful island in
the Indian Ocean. Reunion is a French
department located approx 500 miles
west of Madagascar. A tropical destination
with breathtaking landscapes where the
steep terrain provides some spectacular
views. Its natural treasures (its active
volcanos, waterfalls, basins, cirques,
verdant mountains with their unusual
topography) are unique in the world, so much so that UNESCO classified part of the
island as World Heritage in 2010. Reunion
Island is an extraordinary tropical garden where
the flora and fauna marvel in equal measure.
Between the magic of the eruptions of the
Piton de la Fournaise volcano and the leaps
of the humpback whales not far off the coasts,
between the sunsets across the crystal-clear
waters of the lagoon and the wild coastline
landscapes formed of basalt rocks, everything
provides contrast and wonderment on Reunion
Island. Reunion Island is an island brimming
with experiences, a melting pot, its culture is
authentic and enriching, its inhabitants share a
lifestyle that is unique
Some wonderful days at sea where you can relax,
sunbathe and enjoy the many facilities the Mein
Schiff has to offer
The ship will berth at the beautiful island of
Langkawi which belongs to Malaysia. Langkawi
is a serene archipelago of 140 islands – only a
few of which are inhabited. The largest of these
is the eponymous Langkawi Island, which has
UNESCO World Geopark status because of its
richly populated (by wildlife) conservation areas.
The best way to experience these ecological
wonders is from high above, on the Langkawi
Sky Bridge that stretches above the rainforest.
Cheekily-named Pregnant Maiden freshwater lake
is a great place to take a dip or play keep-away
with the kleptomaniac monkeys. Langkawi is also a
duty-free island which makes it a good shopping
destination.
The ship arrives at Port Klang, the port of Malaysia’s
capital Kuala Lumpur. Here we suggest an optional
excursion to visit this fascinating metropolis including its famous landmark, the Petronas
Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur Railway Station; stroll
through Chinatown (Petaling Street) and Little India
(Brickfields) and explore the impressive Batu Caves.
Arrival in Singapore, your final destination on this
journey but you will have another night on the ship so
you have ample time to discover Singapore which is
probably the cleanest city in the world. You can see
the City Hall, Supreme Court and the waterfront of
the Asia’s busiest port, Chinatown with a stop at the
Sri Mariamman temple and visit the actual landing
site of Sir Raffles when he first came to Singapore. Of
course you will visit Orchard Road with all its amazing
shopping centres, delightful restaurants and specialty
shops. In the afternoon why not visit Sentosa Island which is connected by cable-car to mainland
Singapore and from the gondolas you will enjoy a
fantastic view along the coast of Singapore. At night
you may wish to go ashore again to experience the
nightlife of this fantastic city.
Last breakfast on board followed by disembarkation.
City tour of Singapore followed by drop off at
Singapore airport in time for check in on your
Emirates flight to Malta via Dubai.
Departure from Singapore is at 00:30hrs to arrive
in Dubai at 04:10hrs where you stay in transit for
your connecting flight. Your estimated time of
arrival in Malta is at 13:15hrs.
