Beyond the Fjords

Meet your Tour Leader at Malta International Airport to check-in for your flight to London. On arrival, continue by private transfer to Southampton Cruise Terminal and embark your ship. Settle into your cabin and enjoy your first moments on board before sailing towards the Norwegian coast.

Enjoy a relaxing day at sea as you make your way north. Take time to become familiar with the ship, enjoy its dining and entertainment or simply unwind on deck as the open waters lead you towards Norway.

Your first Norwegian port is Haugesund, a coastal city deeply connected to the country’s Viking heritage. Visit the imposing Haraldshaugen National Monument, journey to historic Avaldsnes and St Olav’s Church, or make your way to Steinsfjellet for wonderful views across the surrounding islands and North Sea coastline.

Arrive in Ålesund, instantly recognisable for its colourful Art Nouveau architecture and beautiful island setting. Wander through the historic centre, climb the 418 steps to Mount Aksla for one of Norway’s classic panoramic views, or visit the Atlantic Sea-Park, where the marine life of the Norwegian coast takes centre stage.

Today brings you deep into the dramatic landscapes of the Aurlandsfjord, where mountains rise almost vertically from the water. Ride the famous Flåm Railway, climbing from the fjord through waterfalls and mountain valleys, travel to the spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint, or visit the traditional village of Undredal, known for its tiny stave church and picturesque setting.

Spend the morning in Bergen, a city shaped by centuries of maritime trade and surrounded by mountains and fjords. Walk among the colourful wooden buildings of Bryggen, browse the historic Fish Market, or take the Fløibanen Funicular to Mount Fløyen for sweeping views over Bergen and its surrounding waterways. Return to the ship in time for the early afternoon departure.

Enjoy a final leisurely day on board as the ship sails back towards the UK. Whether you choose to relax, enjoy the entertainment or simply watch the horizon from deck, it is a chance to look back on a memorable week of Viking history, mountain towns and magnificent fjord scenery.

Arrive in Southampton in the early morning. After breakfast, meet your tour leader for disembarkation and the transfer back to the airport for your return flight to Malta, bringing your Norwegian adventure to a close.
