Itinerary

Valletta Embarkation

Lively Olbia combines Sardinian flair with fabulous beaches. Small winding alleys alternate with trendy shops. Discover the Costa Smeralda, or “Emerald Coast”, on a panoramic tour, in the course of which you will also visit the famous Porto Cervo seaside resort. Those who prefer a quieter atmosphere should visit the archipelago of La Maddalena, where wonderful bays, crystal-clear water and untouched scenery offer the perfect invitation to enjoy some “dolce far niente” – sweet idleness!

The small fishing town of Calvi will fascinate you with its picturesque old town. Its mighty citadel, located on a small promontory of land jutting into the water, houses a cathedral, a bishop’s palace and supposedly also the house in which Christopher Columbus was born.

Villefranche-sur-Mer is the gateway to the French Riviera. The city of Nice, which attracted artists such as Matisse and Chagall, will charm you with its picturesque location. In the city itself, classicist architecture alternates with wildly flourishing gardens. A mixture of bus and walking tours is the perfect way to explore this city. And Provence fans will also get their money’s worth – why not take advantage of a trip to St. Paul de Vence?

Discover the lesser-known sides of Menorca – and try typical local specialities at our wine and cheese tasting event.
Hikes on the trails in the S’Albufera des Grau Natural Park or a climb to La Mola will be well rewarded with breathtaking views.

Málaga on the Costa del Sol developed as a port over the centuries, and later became a seaside resort. The Alcazaba fortress, the city wall, and the ruins of the Castillo de Gibralfaro dominate the city skyline. They were all built during the era of Moorish rule. The largest church is the Renaissance Cathedral. It is affectionately known as “La Manquita” – “the one-armed lady”. Its second tower was never completed. The city’s most famous son was the renowned painter and artist Pablo Picasso. His heirs have donated over 200 of his works to the city. The old town area is a wonderful place in which to wander through the little alleys with their cafés and boutiques. Or you can immerse yourself in Moorish history and culture on a full-day excursion to the famous Alhambra palace.

Stroll through the narrow lanes of the maritime city of Cádiz with its many watchtowers. Have you always wanted to know how to make delicious tapas? A cookery class in a rustic bodega is the perfect opportunity to learn. If you are in the mood for culture, a day trip to Seville with its many UNESCO World Heritage Sites is just the thing. Or you can visit a sherry factory in Jerez de la Frontera – home of the Spanish national drink.
